Borrowed equipment must be returned as soon as possible after use. Restitution must be made for lost or damaged items.
Individual borrowers, in all instances a church member or regular participant, must sign for items borrowed in a booklet provided for that purpose. Borrower’s name, items borrowed, dates of borrowing and returning are to be listed in this booklet. The Board of Trustees may also grant permission for the use of items to other churches or civic groups.
Musical instruments (pianos, organ, etc.), lights, electrical wiring, etc. are not to be moved or tampered with in any way without permission of the Board of Trustees. Any furnishings that are moved are to be restored to their proper locations following use. Any display of materials will be done in such a way so as to cause no damage to the building, its furnishings, or any church property. Displays inconsistent with the mission of the church may be removed at the discretion of the Board of Deacons or Pastor.
C. USE OF FACILITIES BY NON-CHURCH GROUPS
Use of the church by groups or individuals not associated with the church (other than those listed under SCHEDULE OF FEES) will be considered by the Pastor, Board of Deacons, and Board of Trustees on an individual basis as request may be made. Approval of the decision by this group (Pastor, Deacons, Trustees) must be voted by the church at a regular or special business meeting of that body.
D. KEYS
Access to the building will be permitted to responsible adults when duty and ministry require it. Group leaders must know how to operate locks to open and secure doors, and to properly operate the heating system. Keys are to be returned to the Trustees when no longer needed.
E. REVISIONS – These policies and regulations are subject to review at least every three years. Approval of any changes shall be confirmed by vote of the church.
